Circular Patio

This circular patio, with a diameter of 2.8m is ideal for the small garden. Available in kit form and in a variety of colours and textures, this one has been planted up with a mixture of herbaceous perennials and grasses.

To the left are the remains of the pinky-purple spikes of foxgloves, (Digitalis purpurea), with soft blue bellflowers at the back - this one is Campanula lactiflora - beneath which is the pale yellow Scabiosa ochroleucha with Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' for company.

In the foreground there are the fluffy flower heads of Thalictrum flavum subsp. glaucum and the shaggy looking grass is Stipa tenuissima. Adding a table and chairs makes this the ideal spot for a chilled glass of your favourite white wine after a hard day at work. Click on the images for a closer look.
